Miklos Wright has made millions of edits as a motion picture editor in his 30 plus years of professional experience. His dedication to the art has also earned credits as producer, co-producer, post production supervisor, supervising sound editor, and more. With credits in major feature films, network television, and top shelf contemporary streaming media Miklos Wright has been trusted with delivering billions of dollars worth of product for the motion picture industry to audiences across the world .

Enjoying a long successful career takes persistence and it all started the summer of 1988 between his junior and senior year at the Rhode Island School of Design when Miklos earned his first credit as an assistant editor on the feature film Lobsterman from Mars. This experience cemented a passion for editing and from the day he graduated in 1989 he pursued a career in post production. Pulled by the grit of indie films Miklos moved to NYC where he teamed up with an old grade school buddy, producer/director Demian Lichtenstein, to make the independent feature film, Lowball. Director Demian Lichtenstein was a pioneer of non linear editing and Loball was one of the first feature films to be edited on AVID. To fund the post production of Loball the two pals made a lot of commercials and music videos highlighted by “Probably Me” for Eric Clapton, and “Sweat The Technique” for hip hop stars Eric B and Rakim. Lowball paid off when it attracted the attention of Kevin Costner who wanted to star in Demian’s feature film 3000 Miles to Graceland. To edit the show Miklos moved to Los Angeles in the year 2000 where he has had continued luck making more films with Kevin Costner including Open Range which Kevin directed.

Major motion pictures would be Miklos’ focus, but after another ten feature films for studios like Sony Pictures, 20th Century Fox, and Lionsgate the business industry model shifted to television. In 2008 the director of photography from Open Rage, J. Michael Muro, recommended Miklos to Emmy award wining executive producer Christopher Chulack to edit the show SouthLAnd, and so Miklos’ career in episodic television was launched. He would work for the major networks like Warner Bros/TBS, HBO/Cinemax, FX, and NBC. In 2015 one of the writers from SouthLAnd , Cheo Hodari Coker, become a show runner for Marvel/Netflix and he brought Miklos onto Luke Cage to edit for MarvelTV. Impressed Marvel hired Miklos as lead editor for additional shows such as The Defenders. During this time Miklos founded the post production and online media development company Media66 to manage staffing and coordinating the myriad of projects. Currently Miklos is enjoying the excellent reviews for season 4 of Outlander where he began his collaboration with Emmy award winning writer/producer Ronald D Moore. Today Miklos is a lead editor on Ronald D Moore’s latest project for Apple TV, For All Mankind. Look for it across all media platforms in 2019.
